Dr. Jacob Udo-Udo Jacob joined the American University of Nigeria in August 2013. Prior to joining AUN, he was Director of Covernance Global Energy - a UK-based operational think tank, where he oversaw various research projects on impacts of new smart energy interfaces on end-user engagement with energy. He previously worked for EON (one of the largest energy companies in Europe) in commercial energy solutions.
Jacob started his academic career as a Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow at the Institute of Communications Studies, University of Leeds, United Kingdom where he managed and taught the PG module 'Communications and Global Change' and the UG module 'Communications and Conflicts in the Information Age'. His PhD in Strategic Communications was supervised by the eminent Professor Philip M. Taylor at the University of Leeds. Prior to Leeds he studied at Lancaster University, UK. Jacob is a member of the UK's Conflict Research Society and various other professional organizations. His academic interest is located at the intersection between communications and global change in contemporary society. He has consulted for various organizations in Europe and in Africa. Jacob is listed in Intellect's 'Who's Who in Research' 2013. His research has appeared in various international peer reviewed journals and in the media.
