Reginald Braggs

Mr. Reginald Braggs joined the University in 2012 as Assistant Dean SBE and Lecturer for Entrepreneurship. He was subsequently assigned the additional responsibility of Director, Entrepreneurship Center. In 2014, he was appointed Assistant Dean of Students.

Mr. Braggs holds an MBA from the Texas Southern University, 1997 and a Bachelor of Business Administration, from Praire View A & M University, 1990. He is result-oriented educationist and operations professional, with over 25 years of experience in managing people and students in both academic and professional environments. His experience covers development and implementation of educational strategies, executing vision, building strategic support and managing rapid growth. He has a passion for team building, student advocacy, coaching and mentoring.

His career started in 1994, when he was appointed Assistant Professor of Naval Science/Student Advisor at the Praire View A & M, Naval ROTC. In 1996 and 1997, he was selected as the University Naval ROTC Instructor of the Year. He moved on to serve as Operations Officer in the United States Navy in 1998. Before leaving the Navy, Mr. Braggs was assigned to the U.S Embassy, Kingdom of Bahrain, as Director of United States Navy Programs in 2004. His advice to the United States Ambassador and Bahrain Chief of Naval Forces on foreign assistance programs helped improve bilateral cooperation initiatives between both countries. In September 2010, Mr. Braggs served as Executive Director/Dean of Students at Al Faris International School, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His responsibilities at the school included the development of vision and day-to-day academic and operational activities. He also facilitated workshops and youth events that support the academic and character development of over 500 students. Mr. Braggs also served with the Science Applications International Corporation, Egypt as Director of Training.

Mr. Reginald Braggs currently serves as Assistant Vice President Community Engagement & Assistant Dean of Students. His portfolio of responsibilities include coordinating all community development courses, managing the operations of the Atiku Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development, and ensuring all AUN projects have a robust monitoring and evaluation.
