Two students will be studying at Richmond, The American International University in London. Mr. Emmanuel Wogu, a Communications & Multimedia Design Major, and Miss Beshi Madwatte, a Management & Entrepreneurship Major, were selected, after a rigorous process, to participate in an exciting new study abroad program between AUN and the London-based University.
The exchange agreement, which was signed by the two university presidents, allows two of our AUN students to study in London on full scholarship for one semester. While there, the students will undertake their Major courses and return in Spring 2017 to continue at AUN. Wogu and Madwatte are the first AUN students to participate in the Richmond study abroad opportunity. Accounting Major Ms. Murna Mamman had attended Ohio State University under the same program.
President Ensign stressed that the scholarship is the result of AUN's hard work in developing strong partnerships with sister universities in the Association of American International Colleges and Universities (AAICU), of which AUN is a member. She urged the students to justify the confidence reposed in them by the selection committee and to be good ambassadors of AUN.
Dean of SAS, Dr. Jacob Udo-Udo Jacob, said that with AUN's membership in the AAICU and the Global Liberal Arts Alliance, our students have the opportunity to spend up to two semesters abroad at 48 universities in 27 countries. Dr. Jacob, who also leads AUN's internationalization program, said any AUN student in good academic standing is eligible to study abroad.
