Welcome to the AUN Honor Society Awards Ceremony
This evening, I am privileged and honored to acknowledge the achievements of our brilliant students who have made both AUN and their families proud.
This awards ceremony is held to recognize our Honor Society members who are graduating seniors. They have made an immense contribution to our university and the Honor Society. These graduating students exhibit qualities that have helped bring success to the Honor Society – qualities that will serve to help them achieve their own individual goals after graduating from AUN. We honor these graduating Honor Society seniors tonight.
Graduating Honor Society members, you will be entrepreneurs, adventurers, and trailblazers. As such, I want you to follow the advice of American industrialist and philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, who said, “Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.” That is what an entrepreneur does, and it will take you into new territory where you can shine. So don’t get too comfortable, don’t settle for just the good; instead, you need to pursue the great. Rockefeller should know, he was the richest man in his time, and adjusting for inflation, he is considered the richest man to ever walk the planet, estimated at USD$400 billion net worth. Like Rockefeller, I encourage you to be the hero of your own story.
We also this evening honor the outgoing executive council of the Honor Society, and welcome the new executive council of the Honor Society, who will lead us this next academic year. We look forward to where you will take us.
So tonight, we have gathered here not just to celebrate the achievements of our Honor Society students, but also appreciate the AUN core values that these students exemplify – Integrity, Leadership, and Service.
I would like to use this wonderful opportunity to thank the faculty advisors for the Honor Society, and our Founder, Board members, professors, and staff for stewarding this university to new heights, and blazing an original path for students to follow. I also again thank the parents and families for joining us and making this occasion a huge success.
Thank you, and Congratulations!
