Simply Poetry in collaboration with English and Literature department recently dazzled the university community.
It was truly a presentation of raw and uncut literary prowess.
On April 7, 2018, Simply Poetry thrilled the AUN community with a commanding rendition of various forms of literature titled Made in Nigeria. Made in Nigeria, performed in the library auditorium, comprised 20 poems which were recited all through the event, all yearning for the past glory of Nigeria, praying for a better tomorrow, and wishing for a better today.
Dike Chukwumerije did a great job in the recitation of the works of poetry most of which he did ad lib. Drama: Made in Nigeria also featured multiple short plays all surrounding a single issue “Nigeria”.
The dance presentations were no less enticing; the movement of the dancers moved the nimble-footed among the crowd and would cause the audience to sing along to the music being played.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and so did the Made in Nigeria event. Dike with his talented cast of 11 presenters who blessed the AUN community that night, be it for a few hours through dance, drama, and the spoken word, took a bow while the applause from the crowd went on and on.
