Moses Christian-Achinihu holds a Master’s in English language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He is presently midway through his doctoral program in the same institution. His research interests include critical discourse analysis (with specific attention to language use in new media, civic engagement (and crisis-related discourse), critical stylistics and rhetoric, applied linguistics, and literacy and language education. His recent research contributions have been published as chapters in festschrifts on the linguistics of social media interaction and discourse analysis, and his articles have appeared in The Nation newspaper. 

 

Prior to joining AUN, he was the English language and SAT (verbal reasoning) teacher for 5 years at Damico College of Arts and Science in Ile-Ife, and later became the Head of Department (Arts) at the same school and supervised learning activities, the literary and writing club, quiz competition preps, extra-curricular activities, and administrative duties.

In his free time, he provides freelance services on book reviews, proofreading and editing, copywriting and content writing, English for specific purposes, and communication training.
