New Math Study Co-Authored By AUN Professor Published

A study by three mathematicians, including an Assistant Professor in the AUN Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Dr. Sirajo Yahaya, has been published in the journal 'Mathematical Analysis and its Contemporary Applications', Volume 4, Issue 3, 2022, 47–62.

The study, 'On fixed point results in F-metric space with applications to neutral differential equations' according to co-author Dr. Sirajo Yahaya, "provides essential tools for solving problems arising in various branches of mathematical analysis, such as split feasibility problems, variational inequality problems, nonlinear optimization problems, equilibrium problems, complementarity problems, selection and matching problems, and many more."

"Differential equations applications are used to calculate the movement or flow of electricity, motion of an object to and fro like a pendulum, to explain thermodynamics concepts. Also, in medical terms, they are used to check the growth of diseases in graphical representation. There are various other applications of differential equations in the field of engineering (determining the equation of a falling object, Newton's Law of Cooling, the RL circuit equations), physics, chemistry, geology and economics."
