There is growing acclaim for the soon-to-be-introduced Master's degree in Communication for Social and Behavior Change, a collaboration between the American University of Nigeria (AUN) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining the academic and delivery framework of the program on September 5, 2022.
While the program is awaiting the National Universities Commission's (NUC) approval, it is generating keen public interest. This is evident in commentaries on social media.
On LinkedIn, Chalya wrote: "This is good news." He believes that the program will benefit many people. Another user, Josephine wrote: "this is a very good development." Abdullahi described it as "a very good opportunity if approved," and Muhammaed Bukar said, "I will enroll if it gets approved."
Netizen Rufus tweeted, "Congratulations, AUN and UNICEF, for this milestone." Apostle tweeted: "I will share this commitment and knowledge with exceeding success, we pray."
It is no different on Facebook. Abigail wrote: "we move… congratulations to AUN". Matthew said: "it is a good development." We will be monitoring these spaces for updates. Stay tuned.
