The School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), through its Faculty Development and Capacity Building Seminar, gave orientation to both new and old faculty members for effective delivery of courses through the proficient use of Educational Management Systems (EMS) like OpenERP and Canvas to enhance productivity in teaching and learning processes while adhering to the school's curriculum.
In a paper titled "Curriculum Design and Development for Graduate," by the Chair, SAS Curriculum Committee, Dr. Bolade Agboola, and delivered by the Director, Writing Center, Mrs. Emilliene Idorenyin Akpan, in the 24Hours Room of the e-Library on October 13, 2023, the presenter walked the faculty members through the necessary steps to ensure most effective lecture delivery methods under AUN's liberal arts educational system.
Mrs. Akpan stressed the need to strictly maintain the guiding principle of the AUN lecture delivery method with consideration for the aims and objectives, philosophy, and evaluation mechanism and standards.
The Chair and Coordinator of the SAS Seminar Series, Prof. Adewale A. James, said the session is meant to improve and refresh the minds of SAS's teaching staff and professors and to integrate the new and old faculty members to facilitate ideas and information-sharing.
