Since having work experience immediately after graduation is immeasurably valuable when searching for a job, AUN work study creates a platform for students to work while studying. This will enable them to garner experience to improve their CV, establish connections and references, acquire critical skills for the workspace, and also earn some money simultaneously.

The Presidential Internship program is a real-world experience scheme where students get the opportunity to participate in the administration of a complex institution.

Students selected to participate in this program are expected to work 10 hours per week and receive a stipend each month. Students are chosen to work with one of the senior administrative offices at AUN:

• Office of the President

• Office of the Provost

• Office of the University Registrar

• Office of the VP for Finance

• Office of the Dean of Students

• The Atiku Institute For Development (AID)

The program allows students to experience first-hand the processes involved in running higher education in the American way, equipping them with skills and knowledge for success in higher education, business, and the corporate world.

As a global college, AUN seeks to produce graduates who can compete on a global scale. The study abroad partnerships at AUN are life-changing experiences that allow students to go out of their comfort zone by taking part in exchange programs where they study at a college overseas for a semester and return to AUN. While the credits earned at the college abroad contribute to their overall grade in AUN, they are exposed to new ideas, acquire a wide range of skills and knowledge, meet new people, build life-long connections, and learn new cultures allowing them to see the world through a global lens.

This program provides academically promising but financially disadvantaged students with an opportunity for quality higher education. Applications are welcomed from students who are concerned about community development and who show proven potential to make a difference. Students accepted into the program receive comprehensive and part-time scholarships and are given opportunities to participate in leadership development programs.
