Erebi Ndoni

Erebi Ndoni is a dynamic legal professional with expertise cutting across the Energy, International Trade, Dispute Resolution, and Gender sectors. She is licensed to practice law in dual jurisdictions of Nigeria and the United Kingdom as a Solicitor. She is keenly interested in sustainable development especially in developing economies. She started off her career in litigation with AG Partners, a Law firm in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, as an Associate Counsel representing the interest of clients in court. She also served as secretary in the oil and gas department and Arbitration tribunals conducted by the firm.

Her passion to impart knowledge led to her taking up a role to lecture Diploma Law students at the Bayelsa College of Arts and Science, Nigeria.  She subsequently had a stint at Tax Consulting with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in Scotland. Thereafter she joined Century Energy Services Limited, an indigenous oil servicing company as the Company Secretary and Senior Legal Counsel. She also worked as a consultant with HEE Energy Consulting. She is a member of FIDA where she provides pro bono services to women and children.

Since joining AUN, Erebi has been involved in projects and community services that focus on promoting gender equality and the protection of women’s rights. She is one of the course developers and facilitator at the AUN-UNFPA course on Gender Based Violence in Emergencies (GBViE) piloted in November 2019. She also consulted for the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UNWOMEN) in a project geared towards Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) and Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) which resulted in the development of training and advocacy resources one of the Consultants for the development of training and advocacy resources for African Women Leaders Network (AWLN). She was part of the team that developed the AUN Safeguarding policy under the Gender Justice Project initiated by the Shehu Musa Yar’adua foundation.  This earned her a meritorious Award by the President of the University. She was also recognized as the Best Female Faculty by the Law Students Society during the premier law week in 2021.

Dr. Ndoni was Interim Chair of the Public International Law Department at the School of Law and currently serves on diverse school committees.  She has publications to her credit in her area of expertise.
