Danmaraya is a passionate education and development advocate with significant experience in areas of education, research development, social mobilization, and community engagement. For over a decade, he has been working in the education and development sectors, organizing and coordinating events to high standards and within deadlines, working with a wide range of stakeholders, including consultants.
Before joining AUN in August 2021, he was a lecturer at Yusuf Maitama Sule (formally, Northwest) University, Kano where he coordinated conferences, research, and journal publications. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Economics from Bayero University, Kano, and obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
Danmaraya has a strong background in research in the area of energy policy, environmental economics, and sustainability with significant publications in reputable journals such as: Quantitative Finance and Economics; International Journal of Business and Management; International Journal of Scientific and Technology Research; International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy; International Journal of Social Economics; Northwest Journal of Social and Management Sciences; Dutse Journal Economics & Development Studies; International Journal of Management Research and Review; International Energy Journal.
