Laila Dauda Ahmed


Instructor of languages in the School of Arts and Sciences

Laila is currently enrolled for her Ph. D. (Arabic Literature) at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin-Nigeria. She obtained her Master’s degree in Linguistics and Literature in Foreign Languages from the Chinese University of Geosciences Wuhan in 2019. She had her Bachelor'sdegree (B.A Arabic Studies) from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in 2012. She is also a holder of the National Certificate in Education from the Federal College of Education, Yola, and taught in primary school between 2005 and 2015 under the Yola South Local Government Education Authority, Yola. She joined the services of AUN as an instructor in January 2020, where she teaches languages and Nigerian Peoples and Culture. She is also involved in spiritual guidance and counseling at the New Foundation School of AUN, Yola.

Courses currently taught by Laila include Arabic and Fulfulde Languages.

Doctoral dissertation Title:



Arabic literature, critical discourse analysis, translation, gender equality, and cultural studies.
