On January 23, 2020, Comrade Godrey Bulus Domgete visited the American University of Nigeria where he presented seven copies of his book to the AUN library.
The book titled "Hate Speech & Patriotism" is published by Awaru Publishers, Yola, and was launched on November 6, last year, at the Adamawa State Government House.
Vice President for University Relations, Abba Tahir, received the books on behalf of President Dekle.
He said the subject of the book (just like every subject) is important to the University.
"We will encourage our community members that this kind of publication is here. It will surely benefit our community."
Comrade Domgete said his motivation for writing the book is to highlight how hate speech has become a problem to society.
"People (sometimes) express their grievances through hate speech. I see myself as someone who can contribute to preventing it from escalation."
He dedicated the book of ten chapters to "those who suffered hate speech and patriots who worked against it."
He wrote: "I believe this book will not be remembered by the number of people it may weigh down but by the number of people it will lift up."
The Yola-born author hails from Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
He obtained a degree (B.Tech) in Animal Science and Range Management in 2019.
Among the seminars he has attended include those organized by the Adamawa Community Advancement Initiative (ACAI) and Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC).
