The American University of Nigeria and USAID will co-host the fourth annual conference of the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) in collaboration with the Adamawa State and Federal Ministry of Education in May 2020.
This was announced at a courtesy visit to President Dekle by experts of Education Management System from Federal Ministry of Education, Gombe and the Adamawa States Ministry of Education, and some other national and international development partners comprising UNICEF and UNESCO.
The group of experts including a consultant to the Federal Ministry of Education who developed the software was hosted by the AUN-SENSE project during a two-day workshop to critique and technically review newly developed software for National Educational Management Information System (NEMIS).
President Dekle who received the group in her office said AUN being part of the hosts for the conference in 2020 is a big deal, and an honor to be a thought leader in bringing innovations to Nigeria. She also thanked the team of experts for their visit and for sharing their expertise with AUN.
The NEMIS software will be used to manage education data in terms of gathering, analysis, dissemination and storage in Nigeria. The first conference was hosted in Imo, the second one in Loko, Kogi State, and the third one in Makurdi, Benue State.
