The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has taken a major leap in digital innovation with the launch of AUN 360, a student-built, all-in-one mobile platform designed to simplify academic and campus life for students, faculty, and staff.
The platform was officially unveiled during a live demonstration on April 21, 2026, before members of the university community, including AUN President Dr. Dewayne Frazier, university management, students, and staff.
Developed as a comprehensive digital solution, AUN 360 brings together the university’s enterprise systems and essential campus services into a single, secure platform accessible through one sign-in using an AUN email address.
Unlike traditional campus applications that often serve limited functions, AUN 360 integrates multiple services into one seamless experience. The app connects users to Canvas courses, class timetables, OpenERP systems, emergency support services, cafeteria access, and a campus marketplace, creating a centralized digital hub for daily university life.
One of the platform’s standout features is its campus marketplace, where students can buy and sell items within the AUN community. Users also receive real-time notifications and reminders for lectures, assignments, and academic deadlines, helping them stay organized and engaged.
Once logged in, the app automatically connects to the university database and customizes features based on each user’s role, ensuring a personalized experience across the campus community.
What makes the initiative especially remarkable is its origin as a homegrown innovation led by AUN graduate students and alumni.
The project was developed by a team that identified everyday challenges faced by members of the campus community and transformed those needs into a practical solution.
AUN graduate students Saddiq Onimisi and Usman Madaki led the development of the platform, reflecting the innovative culture fostered at AUN.
“President Frazier introduced the idea, and we immediately saw its potential,” Saddiq said. “From there, we worked collaboratively to build a solution that responds directly to the needs of our campus community.”
Madaki added that the platform eliminates the need for users to switch between multiple applications. “AUN 360 brings everything together in one place, making it easier for students and staff to stay informed, connected, and productive,” he said.
Speaking at the unveiling, President Frazier emphasized that the platform reflects AUN’s mission of developing leaders who create solutions to real-world challenges. “AUN students are not just learners; they are solution providers,” President Frazier said. “They continue to demonstrate an extraordinary ability to identify challenges and develop impactful, homegrown innovations that serve the broader community.”
The app is currently available for Android devices on the Google Play Store, marking a significant step forward in AUN’s commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and student-led leadership in the digital age.
