On November 1, 2021, President Margee Ensign warmly received a high-powered delegation from the Kaduna State University (KASU) in her office where they held talks on future collaboration in the areas of research and community service.
President Ensign expressed gratitude for the visit and shared the AUN mission and philosophy with the visitors. She restated AUN's resolve to remain a center of academic excellence, high ethics, and service to the Community.
Leader of the delegation and Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Mohammad Tanko, said KASU seeks partnership and collaboration with AUN because of the attraction of its mission as a Development University.
The delegate had a zoom chat with the Dean of SITC, Professor Mathias Fonkam, who shared his experience leading the highly-rated AUN SITC program and the achievement of his students. Professor Fonkam suggested ideas to the KASU delegation on how to grow the university's Information Communication Technology infrastructure and academic discipline to become a leader among its peers.
The KASU delegation was later led on a tour of the beautiful campus by the Senior Director of Public Affairs in the Marketing and Communications Department, Yusuf Mohammed, who took them through the School of Law building, CMD Lab, Library auditorium, and other administrative buildings.
KASU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Tanko commended the AUN Founder, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, for the vision and commitment toward building a world-class university, extolling AUN's fast growth in a relatively short period.
Other members of the KASU delegation were the University Liberian Prof. Abdullahi Musa Ibrahim and Director, University Advancement, Dr. Maharazu Ibrahim.
