The American University of Nigeria (AUN) begins a new year on a high note with a visit to some of Nigeria’s finest servicemen.
On January 9, 2020, President Dawn Dekle led an AUN delegation on a courtesy visit to the 23 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Yola.
They were received by the Brigade Commander, General Bello Abdullahi Muhammad.
Vice President for University Relations, Dr. Abubakar Abba Tahir, said the visit aims to foster mutually beneficial collaborations between both organizations.
President Dekle informed the commander about AUN’s diverse programs for working professionals uniquely designed so officers and staff of the Nigerian Army may take advantage of course structure flexibility.
The commander thanked the president and vice president for the visit and highlights on numerous offerings in the university. He echoed Dr Tahir’s optimism about areas for partnership between the command and the university. Commander Muhammad also spoke about the brigade’s skill acquisition program with hope that it could be a coopt project for both institutions.
The commander, 23 Brigade, honored AUN with a commemorative plaque which he presented to President Dekle.
