Professor Mohammed Ahmadu donated four law textbooks to the American University of Nigeria (AUN). The books will be available at both the Robert Pastor e-library and the Law Library for use by faculty, students, and the entire university community. Interim President, Professor Attahir Yusuf received the books on Friday 23rd April 2021.
The first title: Contemporary Issues in Nigerian Law and Practice is a collection of scholarly legal writings published in honor of Nigeria’s Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, SAN. There are thirty-five chapters thematically divided into sections about constitutional, labor, information technology, child rights, and arbitration laws.
Other areas deal with crimes, shariah, energy, customary, education, ECOWAS, corporate and medical laws. The last part of the book covers migration, media, local government, and comparative laws. The 700-page book was edited by Prof ML Ahmadu.
The second book is titled: Cybercrimes in Nigeria: Theory, Law, and Practice. It is an analysis of the different facets of cybercrimes from the national, regional, international, and Islamic perspectives. The 230-page book is the first of its kind in Nigeria and is authored by Prof ML Ahmadu.
Professor ML Ahmadu who served as Interim Dean of AUN’s School of Law accepted a position in service of his home country, Nigeria. As Special Assistant to Nigeria’s President on Research and Special Duties, he no doubt played a key role in government. He continues to maintain a very close academic relationship with AUN’s School of Law.
