AUN Student Government Association (SGA) President, Taslim Oladoja, describes AUN as a "Lighthouse", not just for Nigeria but for the rest of Africa and the world.
Mr. Oladoja, who had the University's Founder and former Nigerian Vice President H.E. Atiku Abubakar among his audience at the 14th Founder's Day in the fall semester, said AUN's "priceless model" accommodates and encourages students from diverse backgrounds and interests who look forward to the same goal, "through three strongly ingrained tenets, which are academic excellence, integrity, and service".
Articulate and well-informed, Mr. Oladoja identified AUN's experienced, dedicated faculty and conducive learning environment as the major reasons for the quality of graduates produced by the university.
"We are also exposed to experiential learning through study abroad programs, model UN conferences in New York, Hult Prize competitions, AUN Students' P2P Facebook Challenges, and other life-enriching out-of-classroom opportunities.
"We are equipped with a model career service office, a health center, 24-hour electricity supply, stable, high-speed Internet connectivity, air-conditioned classrooms, labs and residence halls.
The SGA president thanked the Founder for the gift of his vision and assured him that AUN is a legacy that will outlive him.
