Proven to provide exceptional service for students’ satisfaction, the office is managed by friendly and highly skilled personnel who are responsible for assigning students into University Housing and providing each student with an official ID Card for use during their orientation at AUN.
The office also assigns meal contracts to students based on their preferences. With the meal plan, students enjoy cashless meal services at the cafeteria, pizzeria, coffee shop and other points of sales where the meal plan is recognized with a simple swipe of their card. The meal plan services are equally extended to the off-campus students as they may please. Students are advised to take full advantage of the quality housing and meal services bearing in mind that once assigned; they are not transferable and cannot be continued in a subsequent semester.
From the first day of issuance, the office manages the students' ID Card – a multi-purpose smart card – and is continuously expanding its usage. The online self-service enables students to block missing cards as a preventive measure for unauthorized usage. The officers are always available and accessible to assist with the ‘blocking’ and or ‘unblocking’ of cards based on the appropriate needs of students. The office can boast that its services are available throughout the week – 24/7.
Additionally, the office is responsible for conducting the housing selection process for currently registered students preparatory to the succeeding semester. Students are always advised to take advantage of this process before proceeding for the end-of-semester holiday. With early room reservations, completed courses and fees payments, students are provided with an online clearance option during registration which bypasses the regular manual clearance with the various offices. With this option, students can proceed to their Residence Halls for check-in upon arrival. Also, students wishing to change their accommodation – whether from one Residence Hall or room to another - are required to contact the Housing Officers who effect the desired changes. This is, however, based on availability and timeframes.
Access control and card authentication is a recent service launched by Student Affairs in conjunction with Security and Safety. The office is providing support for this service in addition to the numerous services already highlighted.
The office works collaboratively with Residence Life, Academic Advising, Counselling and Security as well as the Health Center, amongst others to provide needed support for students at all times.
