The AUN Community Cooperative Society has elected a new Executive Committee for a new term.
On the roll call are Adamu Umar, who returns as President; Ogechi Dan-Okereke (Vice President), Daniel Ali (General Secretary), Bappa Irmiya (Treasurer), Sunday Simon (Assistant General Secretary), Paul Lukor (Public Relations Officer), and Dayine Njede Samson (Provost).
Altogether 15 candidates ran in the election.
In a letter addressed to all members of the Society after the announcement declaring the winners, the President-elect, Mr. Umar, assured the members that he will not let them down.
"I pledge to hold firm the crest of your mandate to offer the needed transformational leadership that will restore hope and reverse negative perceptions about our Society."
He said the members have voted for excellence in giving him the mandate to return to the office and assured that the revised by-laws, effective from January 2020, will be the guiding light.
"Our team will work to develop a creative, operational guideline that comprehensively covers all areas of our operations in line with the adopted by-laws."
