AUN, MAU Deepen Collaboration, Sign MoU

The excellent relationship between the American University of Nigeria (AUN) and Modibbo Adama University, Yola (MAU) has been further deepened with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the leadership of both institutions at a brief but historic ceremony on November 9, 2023.

The MoU entails collaboration in engineering research and practical experiments that will enable both institutions to exchange ideas and knowledge and access each other's engineering facilities and equipment, especially regarding chemical engineering practicals.

President Dewayne Frazier led the AUN delegation, which included the Registrar/VPA, Mr. Anthony Fadaka, and the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Prof. Abdulmumini Sa'ad.

The MAU team was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur, and included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration, Prof. Muhammad Inuwa, and MAU's Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Prof. Hammadikko Gaya.

President Frazier commended the leadership of Modibbo Adama University and expressed optimism that both institutions would benefit from the synergy of the collaboration.

The Vice-Chancellor of MAU, Prof. Abdullahi Liman, appreciated AUN for sharing its digital resources, which enabled MAU to receive a high score during a recent regulatory resource visitation.

The VC used the opportunity to express his gratitude to AUN, stating that the MoU will further enhance the partnership, allowing both institutions to leverage what they have and push the relationship to a higher level.

He said he is more excited about the MoU because his institution has more to gain from AUN because of the state-of-the-art facilities AUN possesses.
