On December 4, 2019, Provost Muhammadou Kah, led a condolence party to the family of Alhaji Ahmed Haji Jarma, the Managing Director of Adama Beverages Ltd, who died on December 1, 2019.
The late Jarma was a proud AUN parent.
The Vice President for University Relations, Dr. Abba Tahir, who was on the team, eulogized the departed industrialist as kindhearted, easygoing, and peace-loving. The visit ended with a prayer by Professor Kah for the peaceful repose of the deceased's soul.
Serving Adama Beverages (makers of the popular Faro drinks and table water) since 2014, the late Jarma featured prominently in community outreach efforts in Yola. He also supported the AUN learning community, especially with the students' Hult Prize on-campus competition.
The AUN Campus Director for the Hult Prize Competition, Ms. Mirian Fonkam, also condoled with the deceased's family.
The late Jarma was a judge at the recently concluded Hult Prize on-campus competition.
