A researcher, Dr. Sirajo Yahaya, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Arts and Sciences at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), has once again collaborated with an external research colleague in a study on Fixed Point of Hybrid Jaggi-Meir-Keeler Type Multivalued Contraction. The study was published in the Journal of Applications and Applied Mathematics (AAM), volume 19, December 2024.
According to the study, one of the most applicable results in metric fixed point theory is based on contractive inequalities, including both rational and non-rational types. The researchers introduced a general idea under the name Jaggi-Meir-Keeler hybrid type multivalued contraction. They investigated the existence of fixed points for such operators in the setting of a complete metric space.
In the study, a comparative nontrivial example was constructed to show the connection between the main idea in the paper and the related literature, supporting the hypotheses of the Theorem. The paper also presented a general idea of a contraction named Jaggi-Meir-Keeler hybrid type multi-valued contraction.
