AUN Student Oghenemaro Ese-Ejakpovi Supports Education of Physically-Challenged Kids in Jimeta

On October 10, 2023, AUN software engineering major Mr. Oghenemaro Ese-Ejakpovi visited the Jimeta Deaf Center Academy LCCN Cathedral and Demonstration Primary school in Yola, to support special-needs children. He enrolled three children in the deaf center, paid the fees for a term for four children at the demonstration school, and provided them with uniforms and other learning materials.

Mr. Oghenemaro, stated that assisting others has always been a part of his life, and that special-needs kids have a right to an education.

"In this country, not everyone can provide for themselves, so we aid others in any way we can."

The senior student emphasized that his mother instilled in him the humility to assist others, and he pledged to extend his compassion to more beneficiaries as resources permit.

The Director of the Jimeta Deaf Center Academy LCCN Cathedral, Rev. Ruth Ulea, commended the donor for his support to the deaf students and appreciated AUN students coming up to assist deaf students in Jimeta. He noted that many children would drop out of school if no one came to help them.

Malam Abdulmumin Ahmed, the father of four beneficiary students at the demonstration school, thanked the AUN student for his generosity.
