The AUN Cooperative Society (AUNCS) ushered in a new era on February 2, 2024, with the swearing-in of its newly elected executives who will steer the affairs of the cooperative for the next two years. Eng. Emmanuel Nicholas assumes the role of President, leading a dynamic team committed to change and growth within the community.
Other elected executives include Gidado Ahmed as Vice- President, Godwin Edwin as Secretary-General, Ganni Cletus as Assistant Secretary-General, Peter Ogbe as Treasurer, John Samuel as Financial Secretary, Zinariya James as Provost, and Achesom Muzong as Public Relations Officer.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Engr. Emmanuel Nicholas outlined the vision and goals for the incoming executives. “The Cooperative Society is committed to change and growth and sets the stage for a promising and dynamic future within the community, AUN Cooperative Society remains a vital part of the AUN community, fostering collaboration and shared prosperity,” he stated.
Outgoing President of the AUNCS, Mrs. Emmanuella Dan Okereke, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead, highlighting the society’s collaborative efforts. “I want to thank everybody for working with us, collaborating with us, partnering with us, and also to the members who supported us in every aspect of the journey."
As certificates of meritorious service were awarded to the outgoing executives. Barr. Ibrahim Gwary administered the oath of office to the incoming team, ensuring a smooth transition.
