On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the Marketing Committee of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) organized a fun-filled event called "the CAB Mixer." The open space between Residence halls CC and DD came alive with this performance billed to entertain and enlighten students. The venue soon turned into a beehive of fun-seekers bubbling and shuffling to the tempo of the beats. Featuring different acts, the CAB Mixer lived up to expectations which, according to its President, Adanma Okoroafor, a final year accounting major, was organized to help students relieve the stress of studying.
Emmanuel Wama, a final year law student, was the DJ, and from his console flowed hit song after hit songs, including crowd-pleasing tracks from Wizkid and Davido albums. Mihai Andrei Zaharia, a 2nd year CMD major in charge of sporting and working at the special events, ensured the smooth flow of activities. Mihai, who also works at CAB's sporting section, came with P4s and game sticks for attendees to play and have fun. The PlayStation gadgets were accessible for any interested party to play, provided they stood in line waiting their turn. Mihai supervised his crew to ensure everything ran smoothly.
There were other side attractions. Light refreshments such as Coca-Cola, Caprisonne, Fanta, and Sprite were sold together with noodles and suya. Students could also switch to the movie section or watch football games.
The CAB Marketing Committee is responsible for preparing, drafting, and sending out emails to students regarding CAB events.
