Tomorrow is the dawn of another chapter for our University's Students Government Association as we usher in our newly elected SGA Executives. Just as you chose my fellow executives and me in the Spring of 2021, you have spoken once again.
The accomplishments of this administration would not have been achieved without the involvement of all SGA members. I was blessed to have worked with the best of the best during my tenure as SGA President. Thank you to all department directors, assistant directors, senators, and executives. Thank you for making the SGA a family of committed and dedicated individuals.
To all candidates who participated in the 2022/2023 SGA elections, regardless of the outcome, you are all winners. It is comforting to know that there are so many students with innovative goals for the organization and campus community. I urge you not to stop here and be involved however you can to elevate AUN to greater heights.
To the incoming Executive team - our FIRST all-female executive team in AUN SGA history - Congratulations! The people have chosen you. The responsibility you are about to inherit is quite demanding, but I have no doubt you will surpass our expectations. Keep the students' faith in the SGA alive. You are fortunate to have a very cooperative senior administrative team ready to support you, so dream BIG! My fellow outgoing executives and I will always be a call away - should you need us.
Thank you to my executives: Najeeb Yusuf, Amina Salihu, and Nabil Jibrilla. Leadership has not been easy, but with your equally high dedication and involvement, neither has it been lonely. I honestly could not have asked for a better team.
Stallions, on a final note, I would like to thank you all for trusting my team with this mantle of leadership. We promised you we would get the job done, and I am proud to say we did. Thank you for believing in us.
I ask that as the President-elect Halima Mohammed and her team prepare to enter the office, you welcome them with open arms. Give them room to make and learn from their mistakes, trust them with your problems, and wholeheartedly support their initiatives.
Thank you Stallions for this amazing experience. Best of luck to our successors.
Yours sincerely,
Daniel Omuabor
Former President,
Student Government Association.
