President Frazier Visits Army Brigade, MAUTH, Law School, Commends Military's Bravery

Last week, President Dewayne Frazier visited the 23 Armor Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Jimeta. The President was visiting the military command in continuation of his familiarization visit to partners in the Adamawa community.

The Brigade Commander, Major-General Mohammed Jibrin Gambo, received the President with his senior officers.

President Frazier appreciated the Nigerian military for keeping the state and region safe and conducive to learning.

"The Nigerian Army has long been an important strategic partner of the University and having the opportunity to visit the Brigade and meet the General and Officers was helpful in further strengthening the relationship. I was met with open arms and I personally enjoyed meeting the brave and honorable soldiers in uniform. Their bravery has helped keep Adamawa and AUN a safe place for all our faculty, staff and students as well as our greater community", the President said.

On September 12, 2023, President Frazier also paid courtesy visits to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital and the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus, to familiarize with the leadership of both institutions. Dr. Dahiru Ribadu and Dr. Ahmad Bala Usman received the President on behalf of the MAUTH's Acting Medical Director, Dr. Ahmadu Baba.

President Frazier was received by the Deputy Director-General, Dr. Dahiru Ribadu, and the senior management at the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus.

The President thanked his hosts for their warm reception and shared his ideas of institutional collaboration in academic programs, resource and space sharing, and human resources needs.
