On Friday, November 1, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) proudly announced the October 2024 Employee of the Month award recipients. President DeWayne Frazier introduced the initiative to recognize and celebrate employees’ remarkable contributions to the university’s mission and values.
Dr. Amir Muhammed Sa'ad, Chair of Data Science at the School of Information Technology and Computing, was recognized as Faculty of the Month. His exceptional contributions to the university's academic excellence earned him this prestigious award.
Mr. Joshua Atteh, a Reference Officer at the Robert Pastor e-Library, received the Staff of the Month award. His dedication and commitment to providing top-notch support services have made a significant impact on the university community. Known for his resourcefulness, Mr. Atteh has been crucial in enhancing library resources and ensuring they are easily accessible to both students and faculty.
In his remarks, President Frazier commended their tireless efforts, innovative approaches, and collaborative spirit, saying, "These awards are a testament to the exceptional talent and commitment of the award recipients." He emphasized the importance of recognizing employees, "I believe in appreciating those who work alongside me, for their value goes far beyond any paycheck. The collective effort, dedication, and passion of the team are the threads that weave success."
The award recipients were chosen through a thorough nomination process that included input from faculty, and Staff. Each awardee received a certificate of excellence, a plaque, and a cash prize of N50,000 in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
