Associate Professor of Chemistry and Chair, Department of Petroleum Chemistry and Physics, Dr. Bolade Agboola, won the 2022 Outstanding AUN Faculty Award.
Professor Agboola, who joined AUN in 2011, has extensive experience in teaching, research, and development in different institutions across Nigeria, South Africa, and Belgium.
His research activities cover the areas of nanotechnology, electrochemistry, bio fossil, and petroleum chemistry. He has published scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals and made presentations at many international conferences. Dr. Abiola's work has received recognition and high ratings from international research centers, including the National Research Foundation of South Africa.
The Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Attahir Yusuf, who announced the winner during the 13th Commencement event, said AUN emphasizes high-quality teaching, sustained scholarship, and dedication to service provision.
"The University established the outstanding faculty award as an honor award to thank professors for their excellent teaching performance, significant contribution to enhancing the quality of learning and scholarship, and outstanding service to the University and the general community.
