The AUN Paradigm; Problems are Opportunities for Growth

Alumnus Adamou Alhadji Sali Goni is flying the AUN flag high in Cameroon where his foray into the world of business has brought him success. His satisfaction, he told our recruitment team which visited his country recently, stems from an uncommon approach to problem-solving.

"At AUN, students are transformed into problem-solvers. They are trained to seek ways of exploiting opportunities in life and out of any given situation. Where others see challenges, AUN graduates see opportunities. This is the major difference in the type of education we received in that great university".

After graduation, Adamou came up with a brilliant idea to venture into an already existing business but thanks to his education at AUN, he introduced a niche that has made a difference.

"I created a company that transforms yogurt in a more natural form called Kossam and Dakkere, all packaged in one bottle". From a business point of view, Adamou is all smiles.

"I learned to be creative at AUN. I was taught not to be a copy-cat but to understand a business concept, adapt and innovate it. This is what I did with Kossam and Dakkere. Yogurt is an old business but I did it the way AUN taught me, the AUN way – to be different, creative and innovative. We conducted extensive product and consumer research and came up with something different. We have a product which gives satisfaction but we have not forgotten the social context of our business. This is what AUN taught us. Branding comes with confidence and the market will always respond to the creative and innovative persons doing things differently."

Alum Adamou said he is distinct from other graduates because he got the best education at AUN. AUN prepared him for the labor market and entrepreneurship. AUN Alumni, he said, are always confident venturing into any kind of enterprise because AUN has taught them to "see a deep correlation between conventional, theoretical knowledge and their applications in real life".

"AUN is the best school I ever attended. I met people from different parts of the world. Living in an environment with different mentalities and multiple cultures has helped me to think broadly and see life from different angles, without compromising my values.

"I strongly advise those seeking education abroad or desiring an American education to come to AUN. AUN is America close to home with the same facilities and the same curriculum and for a fraction of the cost".
