Welcome to AUN's Dynamic Learning Community: Spring 2026

The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has officially resumed for the Spring 2026 semester, ushering in a period of renewed academic purpose, vibrant campus life, and a warm welcome to a new cohort of freshmen and their families.

As Africa’s premier Development University, AUN once again opens its doors to students from across Nigeria and beyond, united by a shared commitment to excellence, leadership, and service to the public good.

In a message marking the resumption and the arrival of new students, AUN President, Prof. DeWayne Frazier, extended heartfelt congratulations to the incoming class and their parents, describing admission into the university as the beginning of a transformative journey. Prof. Frazier said, "AUN is a unique institution, committed to education for the public good and dedicated to transforming students into responsible, globally minded, and successful citizens. There has never been a better time to be a part of AUN, as the institution continues to distinguish itself as one of the leading universities in West Africa."

The Spring 2026 semester marks the start of another impactful academic term at the American University of Nigeria, one that fosters leadership, critical thinking, and ethical engagement. To prepare new students for the academic rigors and opportunities of the Spring 2026 semester, AUN is hosting a comprehensive orientation program.

The program began on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, with the arrival of students on campus and is designed to ensure a smooth transition into university life. Students are being introduced to AUN's academic culture, core values, world-class facilities, and the supportive Stallion community. The orientation program culminates with the Pledge Ceremony on Monday, January 26, 2026, marking an official welcome to the AUN family. Classes will commence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

A key feature of the orientation program is the President’s Welcome Session, where students and parents gain deeper insight into AUN’s vision as a Development University and how this distinctive model equips graduates with the skills and mindset needed to drive positive change in society.

AUN welcomes its newest students and their families into a dynamic learning community dedicated to shaping future leaders for Nigeria, Africa, and the world.
