Before assuming duties as an Instructor at the Computer Science Department of American University of Nigeria, Usman Baba worked as a System Analyst at the National Open University of Nigeria where he was tasked with numerous duties such as E – exams administration, analyzing, identifying, and providing solutions to issues regarding the usage of ICT by staff and students of the University.
Usman Baba holds a B.ENG in Computer Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, an MSc in Computer Science from American University of Nigeria, and a Professional Diploma in Education. He is a registered Engineer (COREN) and a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Computer Society (NCS), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Young professionals, IEEE Blockchain and Big Data Community.
He holds professional certification in Computer Networking and Maintenance, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (WS2012), and a Proficiency Certificate in Computer-Aided Design Using AutoCAD.
