School of LAW
Welcome to the AUN School of Law
The School of Law (SOL) is a leading center of legal education committed to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and the preparation of graduates who are ready to contribute meaningfully to society. Through rigorous training, innovative instruction, and a dedicated faculty, we provide a learning environment that shapes legal professionals equipped to understand, interpret, and influence the legal landscape in Nigeria, Africa, and the world.

The School is organized into two academic departments: Private & Business Law and Public & International Law. Together these departments deliver a comprehensive and globally competitive legal education. We currently offer the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and are preparing to launch postgraduate programs (LL.M. and Ph.D.) in Fall 2026.
AUN’s School of Law is an academic community known for its outstanding faculty, commitment to development-focused legal education, and active student life. The School runs several programs and activities, including the Law Students Society (LSS), a Distinguished Guest Lecture Series, a monthly Faculty Lecture Series, and the AUN Law Clinic, and maintains a close relationship with the Yola campus of the Nigerian Law School and the wider legal community across Nigeria. Recent guest lecturers have included Hon. Abayomi Ajaiyeoba, Dr. Luqman Olatunbosun Emiola, and Deputy Director General Sulmanu M. Rilwanu, who shared professional insights with students and faculty.
