Abubakar Ahmed joined the service of American University of Nigeria Yola in 2020 from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. At Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, he held several academic and administrative positions, including Coordinator Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Department of Accounting Library Officer, and Registration Officer. Before joining AUN, he also served as a member of ABU Strategic Planning Development Committee.
Abubakar has a strong background in accounting and finance research and has published many articles in local and international journals. His publications are in the areas of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, earnings management, and auditing.
Abubakar holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is a member of the Climate Change Research Network, USA.
