AUN Becomes Red Hat Academy Partner

AUN has joined the Red Hat institutions, a major push to keep pace with the demand of the corporate world. Red Hat is the world’s leader in open source and provider of LINUX, leading enterprise platform that birthed the android technology.

The Red Hat Academy provides a curriculum to help education institutions keep pace with the demand of the industry.

The chair of Computer Science and Software Engineering programs, Dr. Narasimha Rao Vajjhala, said that the School of IT & Computing recently completed procedures for registration as a Red Hat Academy that will be hosted and managed by the school.

The Dean of SITC Mathias Fonkam has approved for the Academy to commence.

The Red Hat Academy curriculum involves hands-on instructions across the platform, middleware and cloud technologies built with input from Red Hat development, support, and field consulting teams.

More than 90 percent of Fortune Global 500 companies rely on Red Hat, while 83 percent of LINUX job postings seek Red Hat certified professionals.

Being a Red Hat partner academy means AUN students are placed at a vantage point to learn in-demand skills, be firmly grounded and ready for the challenges of the industry while excelling in their chosen fields.

Some of the massive benefits of being a Red Hat partner include getting certified with discounted exams by leaders in open source, gaining variable experience with hands-on lab environments and being able to connect with Red Hat instructors and students in the Red Hat learning community.

Both faculty and students are welcome to enjoy their immense benefits offered by the Red Hat Academy.
