AUN scholar and Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Sirajo Yahaya, has led other external colleagues on an investigation into Jaggi-Suzuku-type hybrid contractions in a recent article titled, "Multivalued Fixed Point Theorem Involving Hybrid Contraction of the Jaggi-Suzuki Type." Their work is published by a Scopus index journal, Korean Journal of Mathematics, series 32, No. 3 of 2024.
In their study, they defined a new type of contraction that combines Jaggi-type hybrid contraction and Suzuki-type hybrid contraction. The research clearly outlined the conditions for when fixed points exist for these contractions in a metric space.
The study further highlighted some consequences and discussed the significance of their proposed ideas with examples to support the assumptions of their theorems.
At the end of the research, a new idea of multivalued contraction was created by combining the definitions of Jaggi-type hybrid contraction and Suzuki-type hybrid contraction in a full metric space. It also provided conditions for the existence of fixed points for such contractions and equipped them with some suitably established hypotheses.
