AUN President Frazier Pays Tuition Fees for Over 400 Students in Bole Communities

Dr. DeWayne Frazier, President of the American University of Nigeria (AUN), continues to champion education with yet another remarkable gesture. Serving as the guest of honor at the Bole Community Educational Development Program, on February 6, 2024, Dr. Frazier launched donated items and cut the ribbon at the Government Secondary School in Wuro-Modibbo Raji community.

The President was warmly welcomed by the Village Head, Abdul-mumini Abubakar, alongside other community leaders. Addressing a crowd of students, community leaders, and educators, Dr. Frazier offset the entire term’s fees for students at Wuro-Modibbo Raji Government Secondary school, Bantaje Primary School, and Bole-1 Community Primary School. As usual, his impassioned speech emphasized the transformative power of education and its role in shaping destinies.

“Education is a tool with which we can change the world; people can take away from you your shoes, your shirts, and your wristwatch, but they can’t take away your education,” he encouraged.

Dr. Frazier expressed gratitude for the teachers' unwavering commitment to positively shaping the future of the students, even in the face of financial challenges. He acknowledged the pivotal role teachers play in nurturing the next generation of professionals, stating that their influence extends to the realms of engineering, medicine, law, and various other highly esteemed and lucrative professions.

Expressing gratitude, community members showcased cultural dances, a marriage ritual, and presented traditional artifacts as tokens of appreciation. Dr. Frazier’s commitment to fostering education, especially for female children remains evident in his actions, marking a significant contribution to local communities.
