AUN President Frazier Visits Waste-to-Wealth Center, Praises Women's Creativity, Tenacity

On August 28, 2023, President DeWayne Frazier paid a visit to the AUN Waste-to-Wealth center, where women from the local community gather to crochet and create valuable items like floor mats, table tops, and colorful decoration items from waste materials.

The President, accompanied in the visit at the Waziri Hall, North Campus by the Director of the AUN Sustainability Center, Mr. Raymond Obindu, said he came to appreciate and encourage the women for their creativity, hard work, resilience, and outstanding handiwork.

"I have seen what you're doing, and it's very beautiful. I am going to work with you, and we are going to involve many sponsors to support what you're doing. What you guys are doing is so important. And that shows how hard working, and resilient Nigerian people are. In fact, you are heroines, and that gives me strength to be a better leader," he said.

He promised to create a website add the beautiful items to the online marketplace.

The President also revealed that he has been working to partner with foreign universities and donors to publicize their product and tell their story to a broader audience.

"And let me tell you that our dear Founder HE Atiku Abubakar loves what you are doing."

Mr. Ray Obindu urged the women to brace themselves to produce more quality and beautiful items to meet the expectations of the new AUN President.
