The President of the American University of Nigeria, Dr. Dewayne Frazier, has joined the AUN Muslim Students Society (AUN MSS) for breakfast at the Agga Islamic Center on Friday, March 29, 2024. The Agga Islamic Center, located in Yola, Adamawa State, is a non-profit Islamic organization supporting needy people.
The day was marked as AUN's day at the Center's feeding program, a collaborative effort between AUN and the Agga Islamic Center to provide meals to those in need. President Frazier was joined at the breaking of the fast by the AUN MSS President Muheebudden Ayegbami, AUN MSS officials, some AUN Staff, and the Agga Islamic Center Officials.
Before the breakfast, President Frazier participated in a heartwarming activity: distributing shoes to the Almajiri children. The children greatly appreciated his act of kindness, further highlighting the importance of the event.
Later, the President joined the AUN students in distributing food. The event was significant because it coincided with Good Friday, a day of religious significance for Christians. The President expressed his delight in being part of the breaking of the fast and the opportunity to contribute to the upliftment of others.
Overall, the event was a success and demonstrated the university's commitment to community service. It was a heartwarming occasion that brought together people from different backgrounds to make a positive impact in the lives of people in need.
