The President of the American University of Nigeria, Dr. DeWayne Frazier was greatly impressed by the activities at the Agga Islamic Center, which is located on his way to his Beverly Hills home. The Center, adjacent to Dogirei Hills, caught his attention with its remarkable feeding program, which aimed to help the less privileged. He was inspired to share his experience with AUN Muslim Students Society (MSS) and encourage them to partner with the Center to provide for the needy, particularly during the blessed Month of Ramadan.
On March 28, the AUN MSS Amir Mr. Muheebudden Ayegbami presented a cheque of N300,000 to support the feeding program at the Center. He underlined the importance of this initiative, stating that feeding the needy is one of the highest obligations for Muslims. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a noble cause. The BOT Secretary of the Center, Alh. Ibrahim Modibbo expressed profound gratitude for the efforts of the AUN MSS, acknowledging their significant role in this partnership.
Earlier, the University president, highlighted the significance of the feeding program and provided 70 pairs of shoes to the Almajiri children at the Center. He recognized the importance of such programs in creating a better world for the less privileged. He urged everyone to contribute to such humanitarian efforts. The AUN MSS and the Agga Islamic Center's partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration and goodwill in creating a brighter future for all.
Showing their commitment to the cause, AUN students pledged to actively participate in the distribution of food and other services at the Center. They believed their involvement would not only provide immediate assistance but also inspire others to contribute to this humanitarian effort.
