AUN Recognizes Mr. Barnabas Ioror as staff of the Month for march, 2026.

The American University of Nigeria (AUN) held its March Staff Recognition Ceremony on May 5, 2026, at the President’s Office, in a continued effort to promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and performance-based recognition across the institution.

The monthly ceremony brought together members of the university Management to honour outstanding staff contributions across various departments, while also reinforcing the institution’s commitment to transparency in its selection process and continuous institutional improvement.

The President of AUN, Prof. Dewayne Frazier, described the recognition initiative as a key element in strengthening the university’s institutional foundation. He emphasized that staff recognition goes beyond symbolic awards and reflects the university’s broader commitment to rewarding hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

“This award is more than recognition; it shows that hard work, dedication, and teamwork matter,” Prof. Frazier said. He further stressed the importance of investing in junior staff as part of a long-term strategy to ensure institutional sustainability. “We are building something that will remain strong long after we are gone,” he added, urging staff to remain focused on the university vision.

The overall winner of the March award is Mr. Barnabas Ioror Igo of the Provost’s Office. He was recognized for his exceptional administrative efficiency and consistent performance in coordinating official communications. He was commended for ensuring timely and effective execution of assignments within the Provost’s Office.

In his remarks, Mr. Igo expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that the award reflects the importance of dedication, consistency, and teamwork in achieving institutional goals.

The first runner-up, Mr. Emmanuel Etim of the School of Information Technology and Computing (SITC) Dean’s Office, and the second runner-up, Mr. Aliyu Danjuma of the Academic Registry, they were also acknowledged for their sustained contributions to administrative and academic excellence.
