AUN Student's Philanthropic Efforts Bring Hope to Yola Community

A compassionate final-year student of the American University of Nigeria majoring in information systems, Auwal Aminu, on October 16, 2024, significantly impacted the lives of struggling families and students in Yola, the Home of the American University of Nigeria.

Mr. Aminu's efforts shone particularly at Wuro Chekke Primary School in Yola South, where he provided new school uniforms for orphaned siblings Muhammad and Ummul-Salma Suleiman, as well as Firdausi and Aliyu Sanusi. This generous gesture allowed the children to return to school, offering new hope to their families, especially for the 12-year-old Firdausi, who was attending school for the first time.

In Yola North, Mr. Aminu further extended his support by awarding tuition scholarships to Fatima Abdullahi and Ahmed Khalifa, both students at the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) Deaf Center. Rev. Ruth Paul Ulea, Director of the LCCN Deaf Center, expressed deep gratitude for Mr. Aminu's compassionate actions, emphasizing the generosity of Mr. Aminu will no doubt impact the students and the broader community positively.

Mrs. Zainab Ahmad, the mother of Muhammad and Ummul-Salma Sulieman, expressed her gratitude to Mr. Aminu and AUN for their kindness. She noted the significant difference his actions have made in their lives and the community. Aminu's selfless acts have provided immediate relief to families and ignited a spark of hope for a brighter future. His generosity empowers children to pursue education and nurture dreams of a better tomorrow.
