The promise of new beginnings was palpable at the American University of Nigeria (AUN) on January 26th, 2026, as the University Registrar and Vice President of Administration, Mr. Daniel Okereke, presented the enrollment statistics at the Spring 2026 Convocation and Pledge Ceremony for newly enrolled students.
Mr. Okereke highlighted that the Spring 2026 enrollees embody AUN’s vision as an international institution, with students joining from Congo, South Africa, the Republic of Chad, Cameroon, Japan, and Nigeria. Within Nigeria, the cohort represents all six geopolitical zones, showcasing the university’s commitment to national inclusion and global engagement. Additionally, male students slightly outnumbered female students, reflecting the vibrant mix of the incoming class
In a moment of symbolism and celebration, the Registrar invited all enrolled graduate and undergraduate students to rise, formally recognizing their successful admission into the university. With great pride, he handed over the new Stallions to the President of the University for induction, marking their official welcome into the AUN community and the start of what promises to be a transformative journey.
