AUN's Study-Abroad, CMD Senior, Akachukwu Madueke is to Attend Central Methodist University, USA

The resumption of the study abroad program at the American University of Nigeria, which was put on hold during the pandemic, is now in full swing. In 2023, several AUN students had the opportunity to study at partner universities in Europe to enrich their education. This year, Akachukwu Madueke will be the first AUN student to participate in a study-abroad program in the United States. A Communications & Multimedia Design (CMD) major, Akachukwu will be studying Business and Communications at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, for a semester.

AUN's study-abroad program enables global education at local tuition fees. Participants in the program will pay the same tuition fees as they would at AUN, enabling them to study at any of the partner universities across the globe.

Mrs. Grace Nwokoma, the Exchange Program's Liaison Office Director, praised AUN's president for his determination to broaden AUN's partner schools and ensure sustainability. She added that studying abroad at AUN offers students an opportunity to spend a semester or  session at any of the AUN partner universities abroad.

AUN President Dr. DeWayne Frazier emphasized the importance of these partnerships with universities around the world. He said, “AUN is a global university, and these partnerships in the United States allow our students to experience American culture for a fraction of the cost.”

Akachukwu Madueke was thrilled to hear that his application to study abroad had been approved. He is looking forward to broadening his horizons and gaining new experiences in the United States.
