AUN Communication and Multimedia Design (CMD) faculty members Professor Philip Ephraim and Emmanuel Best Thliza, an instructor, were live on the popular Gotel TV breakfast show 'Safiya' on May 11, 2023. The duo enlightened the public on the new graduate school programs approved for their Department by the National Universities Commission (NUC). They assured the public that AUN has got what it takes to impact the film industry through a carefully developed syllabus.
Dr. Philip said the newly approved Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Communication for Social and Behavior Change was developed to fill a gap in an advanced study that was unavailable before the approval. He assured that enrollees would appreciate their time and resources in the programs because the CMD would offer the program in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) from the AUN campus.
The AUN CMD department also got approval to offer M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Communication and Multimedia Design courses. CMD department offers Public Relations/Advertising, Journalism, Multimedia Design, and Radio/Television/Film concentrations at the Bachelor's degree level.
Mr. Emmanuel Best Thliza explained further other advantages to the public. He said AUN would deploy its massive advantage in learning technology to ensure that enrolled students have a wholesome graduate school experience irrespective of their distance.
"The distance is going to be narrowed via technology. So, that is one of the numerous advantages students are going to benefit from this," he said.
