A recent study has shown that health-related disruptions such as COVID-19 did not affect the financial performance of Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.
However, the research, of which AUN's Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), Dr. Mahmoud Ahmad Mahmoud is the lead author, concluded that there is a significant relationship between the Disruption Orientation for the SMEs during the Covid-19 period and their non-financial performance.
The article, published in November 2021, studied the impact of COVID-19 operational disruption on the performance of SMEs and whether disruption orientation and government support could redirect the negative impact of Covid-19 disruption on SME Performance.
