Talent, Skills on Display as AUN Elementary Marks 2022 French and Music Day

Friday, February 18, 2022, was all bright and bubbly at the Community Hall of the AUN Schools. Parents and guests decked out in colorful dress took up all the available seats in the hall. Smartly-dressed pupils entertained them from the Elementary section of the AUN Schools, celebrating the annual French and Music Day with a rich display of cultural and theatrical performances.

The program began with a beautiful rendition of the pupils' Nigerian and French national anthems in fluent French language. The hall echoed with voices of approval as pupils of different grades mounted the stage to deliver their presentations.

One of the highlights of the presentations was a short French play delivered by Grade 5 pupils with the theme: 'The Importance of Girl-Child Education.'

Other presentations that added fun and excitement to the event include a flawless violin presentation, folk songs, and word and number presentations in French and English. Nor were pupils of the Early Learning Center left out of the presentations.

Assistant Director Academics, AUN Schools (Elementary), Mr. Nazeer Yahya Mikail, appreciated the leadership of AUN Schools for working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the Schools. He also commended all teachers and pupils, especially the Music and French teachers, for their tireless effort toward the event's success.

Speaking about the French and Music day objectives, Mr. Mikail stated that it is all about nurturing and developing well-rounded pupils.

"It is essential to cultivate and celebrate their creativity, talent, and understanding of music as a universal language and also promote a high level of aspiration and artistic capabilities through composition and performance of music.

"To our wonderful parents, we thank you for your continuous support, understanding and cooperation in taking our school to the next level. We will continue to accommodate the best practices around the world to make our students the best," he added.
